BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey will be tested by Commonwealth Coast Conference counterpart Endicott this weekend. The Rams will first travel to Beverly, Massachusetts Friday, Nov. 17 for a 7 p.m. puck drop, before hosting the Gulls at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink Saturday, Nov. 18 at 4:50 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
For the first time in program history, Suffolk women's hockey kept Nichols off the scoreboard as Lily O'Neil racked up 27 saves and the Rams offense poured in five goals to blank the Bison, 5-0, Saturday in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Rink.

Five different Rams scored in Suffolk's first-ever shutout in the Abby Ostrom era.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
After sweeping Nichols last weekend, Suffolk sits 2-4-0 on the year and 2-2-0 in CCC play.  

The Rams offensive output has picked up as of late, socring 11 goals over the last three games. Four different skaters have four-point stat lines in Alessia Di Silvestro (2g, 2a), Jenny Drevitch (1g, 3a), Liliana Moose (1g, 3a) and Kellie Popkin (2g, 2a).  

Lily O'Neil will likely earn the nod in net. The senior goal sports a 2.67 GAA and .915 save percentage in her three appearances, all starts. 

GET TO KNOW THE GULLS
Endicott holds a 4-2-0 overall record and 2-2-0 CCC mark. The Gulls fell to league e foes Nichols, 2-1, and Western New England, 1-0, both in overtime. 

Maggie Lynch leads the Gulls 13-goal offense with five points on a team-high three goals and two helpers. The foursome of Samantha Fantasia (1g, 3a), Teaghan Hall (1g, 3a), Quin Healy (2g, 2a) and Rivers Morris (1g, 3a) all have four points to their credit.  

Casey Moritz has taken on the bulk of the workload in net for Endicott. In five games played, all starts, she has put together a 1.20 GAA and .955 save percentage. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk is 3-8-0 all-time against Endicott. 
  • On the road, Suffolk is 2-4-0 versus Endicott. 
  • At home, Suffolk sits 1-4-0 against Endicott.
  • The Rams only win over the Gulls on home ice came in the 2023 CCC Championship contest, 2-1, March 4, 2023. 
  • The Rams and Gulls have needed overtime to decide a winner twice. 
  • Both overtime games between Suffolk and Endicott were played last year, 2022-23.

EYES ON THE GAME

RAMS RECOGNITION
Suffolk women's hockey's duo Lily O'Neil and Alessia Di Silvestro garnered Commonwealth Coast Conference weekly awards as the league office announced the former was named CCC Goaltender of the Week with the latter picking up CCC Rookie of the Week. The laurels come on the heels of a CCC series sweep of Nichols.

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
Suffolk will play in the 16th Annual Codfish Bowl Tournament the weekend after Thanksgiving. The Rams will face Bowdoin in the opening round Saturday, Nov. 25 at 12 p.m. at Edward T. Barry Ice Rink on the campus of UMass Boston and will take on either Amherst or the Tournament host UMass Boston Sunday, Nov. 26.
