BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey has an action-packed weekend with a pair of Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contests. Friday night, Feb. 4 features Curry with the Colonels set to stop by Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink at 6 p.m., with a day rest before a trip to Middleton, Rhode Island for a Sunday, Feb. 6 showdown at Salve Regina at 1 p.m.

SUFFOLK ATHLETICS 2021-22 FAN POLICY
Suffolk University Athletics, following guidance from the University's health and safety protocols, Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Centers for Disease Control and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, plans to allow fans to attend home athletic contests during the 2021-22 academic and athletic year.

Fans, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, can attend games. They must be masked the entire time they are on campus, pursuant to institutional policy, and complete a health screening form at the security desk of each building upon arrival. This policy applies to home contests played on campus at the Ridgeway Building's Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, as well as the Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink and the Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

For outdoor outings, specifically at East Boston Memorial Park, fans are asked to respect COVID safety protocols. At this time, masks will not be mandated for fans no matter vaccinated status at outdoor venues.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's hockey sliced the deficit down to one early in the third period, but was unable to comeback against the 10th-ranked Endicott Gulls Monday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk (14-3-0) enters the second half of its conference calendar 9-2-0 in CCC play.  

The Rams have the highest offensive output in the league with 65 total goals producing 3.82 goals per game. Individually, Shana Cote not only leads the blue-and-gold's scoring unit, but is the top threat in the conference as the senior sits atop all the conference's offensive categories: goals (15), including seven power play strikes, assists (14) and points (29).

Cote is complimented in the offensive zone by a number of skaters. Sofia Scilipoti (9g, 12) and Maddy Burton (12g, 8a) join Cote with 20-plus points.

In net, Lily O'Neil has earned the nod as of late. The sophomore boasts a 6-3-0 record with a .908 save percentage and 2.29 GAA. Hannah Gordon (5-0-0) and Julia McLellan (3-0-0) have played their fair share in between the pipes as well. Gordon boasts a .935 save percentage and 1.38 GAA, while McLellan holds a .901 save percentage and 2.31 GAA. 

COLONELS CATCHUP
Curry snapped a six-game losing streak Monday with a 2-2 overtime stalemate at Salve Regina to head into Friday's contest 3-15-1 on the year and 1-10-1 in CCC contests.  

Two skaters propel the Colonels 33-goal offense. Grayson Goolgasian and Paige Rodriguez have had their sticks in 26 of those strikes. Goolgasian's 15-point stat line features 10 goals and five assists, while Rodrigues has found the back of the net twice and set-up a team-best nine scores.  

Anna Langton has played the bulk of time in between the pipes. In 15 games played, 13 starts, she has built a 3-11-1 ledger behind a .899 save percentage and 3.87 GAA. Ella Campbell (.869 save %, 3.71 GAA) and Vivi Helquist (.787 save %, 4.86 GAA) have defended the Colonels cage three times apiece.  

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk swept the home-and-home series with Curry Nov. 12-13. The Rams defeated the Colonels, 3-2, in the blue-and-gold's inaugural CCC contest in Canton, Massachusetts. A day later, Suffolk scored a program-record 10 goals in a 10-3 triumph against Curry in Eastie.

SEAHAWKS SAYINGS
Salve Regina's three-game unbeaten streak has pushed the Seahawks to 4-9-2 on the season and 3-5-2 in the CCC. Prior to hosting Suffolk Sunday, the Seahawks with head to Nichols Friday, Feb. 4.  

SRU has found the back of the net just 22 times through 15 games. Tori Amaral (5a), Emma Breen (3g, 2a) and Maddie Cox (3g, 2a) anchor the Seahawks scoring.  

Madison Jalbert (.900 save %, 2.82 GAA) is Salve Regina's go-to goalie starting 12 games. Ellee Kopecky (.901 save %, 2.06 GAA) serves as the Seahawks back-up.
