EAST BOSTON – On a night Suffolk women's hockey was playing for Autism Awareness, the No. 8/5 Norwich Cadets held the Rams off the scoreboard to down the blue-and-gold 4-0 in NEHC action at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless opening period, Norwich broke things open at the midway point of the second when Sophie McGovern connected on an unassisted strike at the 9:29 minute mark.
The one-goal game held until the final minute of the middle period when Alyssa Hulst put away a feed from Brynn Wopperer to secure a two-goal cushion for the Cadets with just 37 seconds left of the second period.
While Suffolk was trying to play catch up, Norwich maintained its composure and tacked on insurance in the middle of the final frame as Amanda Conway and Wopperer scored within a 25-second span for the four-goal margin.
Suffolk was unable to make up any ground as Emily Lambert scooted aside every Rams' attempt to secure the shutout for the national and conference powerhouse.
NETMINDER NOTES
- Kristen Caporusso had a 30-save night.
- Lambert locked up the cleansheet behind a 22-stop performance.

Suffolk is in store for its final regular-season weekend. The Rams will first host New England College Friday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m., before closing the calendar at Plymouth State the following day, Saturday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m.
