BOSTON – The Suffolk women's hockey team takes its two-game win streak into its final weekend action of 2018 as the Rams head to No. 4 Norwich and Castleton for New England Hockey Conference clashes. The Rams first stop by the Cadets Friday, Dec. 7 for a 7 p.m. match-up before closing the curtain on first semester play at the Spartans Saturday, Dec. 8.

Suffolk women's hockey scored one goal in each period and Kristen Caporusso was perfect in net as the Rams shutout Southern Maine, 3-0, Saturday night at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Rink.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is unbeaten in its last five outings and picked up a pair of victories last weekend to improve to 7-3-1 on the season and 4-1-1 in conference contests, good for a tie of second place in the league standings with nine points.
Tess Adams and Shana Cote buoy a well-balanced 39-goal offense, which sits second in the league. The senior and freshman have each scored seven times to lead the way for the blue-and-gold. Adams has nine helpers for a team-best 16 points, while Cote has set-up six goals for 13 points. Overall, 15 players have picked up at least one point through 11 games this season.
Kristen Caporusso has been the backstop to all of the Rams' seven victories. The sophomore holds a .929 save percentage and a 1.45 GAA, which are good for fifth and third amongst conference netminders, respectively.
CADETS CATCH UP
Norwich, who comes into the week ranked fourth in both the USCHO and D3Hockey.com polls, is on a six-game win streak that put the Cadets 8-2-0 on the season and 7-0-0 in league action.
The Cadets are the most potent offense in the NEHC with 49 goals. Amanda Conway is the main catalyst with 12 markers to go with three assists for 15 points, putting the junior forward second on the squad behind Adrienna Rossini's 17 points, which come off three goals and a team-best 14 helpers. Alyssa Hulst completes the top trio for Norwich with 10 points off three goals and seven set-ups.
Norwich's defense has given up just 12 scores in 10 games this year with back-to-back shutouts last weekend. Emily Lambert and Alexa Berg have split the bulk of action in net. Lambert holds a .962 save percentage and a 0.80 GAA, the best amongst league goaltenders. Berg, meanwhile, sports a .896 save percentage and a 1.75 GAA.

- Suffolk and Norwich will tangle for the first time with the Cadets marking the first nationally ranked opponent in the Rams' short history.
EYES ON THE GAME
SPARTANS SAYINGS
After sweeping NEHC action at JWU (1-0) and New England College (3-1) last weekend, Castleton stepped out of conference competition Tuesday at Williams, which the Spartans played to a 2-2 overtime draw, to move to 4-4-2 overall. In conference contests, Castleton sits 4-1-1, good for a tie for second with Suffolk. Prior to hosting the Rams Saturday, the Spartans will entertain UMass Boston Friday, Dec. 7.
Jocelyn Forrest is the lone skater in double figure points with 13 behind a team-high eight goals and five helpers. Aimee Briand (2g, 5a) and Courtney Gauthier (3g, 4a) share second on the squad with seven points apiece.
Alexis Kalm and Rylie Wills each have five games of action under their belts in net. Wills owns the better numbers with a .935 save percentage and a 1.97 GAA. Kalm, meanwhile, brings in a .868 save percentage and a 4.07 GAA into the weekend.
