BOSTON – Coming off a pair of shutout victories, the Suffolk women's hockey team turns its attention to this weekend where it will take on Becker and Salem State. The Rams will first entertain the Hawks at Louis E. Porrazzoo Memorial Skating Rink Friday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m., before traveling to the Vikings for a 2 p.m. Military Appreciation, NEHC matchup.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's hockey team lifted the lid on its New England Hockey Conference schedule with a 3-0 victory as the Rams kept Johnson & Wales off the scoreboard at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink Nov. 3.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk leveled its ledger at 2-2-0 on the season and took a 1-0-0 mark in conference contests after posting back-to-back shutout wins a week ago. 

The Rams' 10 goal offense has seen 11 different players record a point with six of those student-athletes finding the back of the net. Haley Poloskey leads the way offensively with five points on a team-best three goals and two handouts. Tess Adams (1g, 2a), Shana Cote (2g, 1a) and Stephanie Moy (3a) are all tied for second on the squad with three points apiece.

Kristen Caporusso has stood tall in between the pipes for Suffolk, playing and starting all four games thus far. The sophomore netminder brings a .916 save percentage and a 1.75 GAA into the weekend. She has kept the Rams' opponents off the scoreboard for the last 139:34 of ice time.

FLYING WITH THE HAWKS
Becker is off to a slow 0-4-0 start on the season. 

The Hawks have potted just three goals this season, all of which have come off different sticks with Clare Conway, Bailey Coons and Rachel Pitcher each tallying one marker. Conway is the lone skater with multiple points as she is one of five players to dish out an assist on the year. 

Julia Johnson & Madison Rigsby have each split time in net for Becker this season starting two games apiece. Rigsby boasts an edge in the numbers with a .890 save percentage to go along with a 4.00 GAA, while Johnson holds a .884 save percentage and a 5.02 GAA.

EYES ON THE GAME
 

VIKINGS VIEW
Salem State lifted the lid on its 2018-19 slate with NEHC action against Castleton (L, 5-3) and New England College (L, 1-0) last weekend. Prior to hosting the Rams Saturday afternoon, the Vikings will entertain Johnson & Wales Friday night. 

The Vikings three-goal offense is buoyed by Vanessa VanBuskirk and Meghan Concannon, who each have recorded two points. VanBuskirk split her two-point effort in goals and assists, while Concannon has dished out two helpers. Amanda Giles and Jacqueline Sindoris have each produced one goal for Salem State.

Sarah Plourde and Isabelle Woodward each earned the nod once in goal for the Vikings this year. Plourde enters the weekend with a .966 save percentage and a 1.00 GAA. Woodward, meanwhile, brings in a .904 save percentage and a 5.15 GAA.

NEHC WEEKLY ACCOLADES
The Suffolk women's hockey team garnered its first conference weekly accolades in program history as Kristen Caporusso and Haley Poloskey were named co-goaltender of the week and rookie of the week, respectively, for their efforts in a 2-0 week for the Rams.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Suffolk is set for a rematch with Anna Maria Wednesday, Nov. 14 when the Rams entertain the AMCATS in a midweek match in Eastie, scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m.
