Women’s Golf Takes Eighth at Martin & Wallace Invitational

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Suffolk women's golf finished eighth at the Martin & Wallace Invitational Sunday at the Cortland Country Club.  

After having Saturday's action cancelled due to inclement weather, the Rams shot a 331 on Sunday to take eighth in the 15-team field. Williams won the event with a 297 with NYU and Amherst rounding out the top three with a 303 and 303, respectively.  

Isabel Smith stood out of the blue-and-gold golfers on the green as the senior shot a 79 to share 21st in the 85-golfer field.  

Smith classmate Ellie Yarbrough carded an 82 to tie for 30th, while the final senior on Suffolk's squad claimed a share of 35th with an 83.  

Brooke Bugajewski tied for 51st with an 88 and Ella Torsleff rounded out the Rams on the course with a 92, good for 60th.  

Suffolk will take next weekend off to prep for the 2024 Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) Championship, which is on tap for April 27-28 at the Edison Country Club in Rexford, New York.
