Women’s Golf Defeats Keene, Bugajewski Shoots Hole-in-One

KEENE, N.H. – Brooke Bugajewski made history as the first Ram in Suffolk women's golf history to produce a hole-in-one Saturday at the Keene Country Club where the blue-and-gold defeated Keene State in dual action 336-467. 

Bugajewski, a freshman from Bloomfield, was propelled to a podium finish after she knocked her drive into the 10th hole on the 149-yard, par 3. Her card read 83, one stroke behind Suffolk's senior captains Isabel Smith and Ellie Yarbrough, who shared medalist honors. 

The Rams, who claimed the first five spots in the individual standings, shot a 336 as a team to take down the Owls by 131 strokes in the foes first-ever head-to-head meeting. 

Sophomore Ella Torsleff logged an 89, good for fourth, with senior Sophie Kiley rounding out the blue-and-gold golfers in the Granite State with a 93. 

Suffolk spends next weekend at the Shaker Farms Country Club in Westfield, Massachusetts. The Rams will compete in a pair of 18-hole contests. On Saturday, Sept. 30 they will participate in the NWGC Fall Classic with the NWGC Fall Invitational on tap for Sunday, Oct. 1.
