BOSTON – The reigning Northeast Women's Golf Conference Champions, Suffolk women's golf, looks to preserve its crown this weekend as the Rams and their league counterparts converge on the Colonie Country Club in Vooheesville, New York for the first-ever two-day conference tournament.

LAST TIME OUT
Brooke Chapman's top 10 finish highlighted Suffolk women's golf's fourth-place finish at the two-day CORTACA Northeast Invitational. Saturday saw the Rams navigate the course of Country Club of Ithaca, while concluding the contest on Sunday at the Cortland Country Club.

TITLE DEFENSE
Last spring, the Suffolk women's golf team put an exclamation point on its third season by capturing the inaugural Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) Championship at the Tekoa Country Club.

ABOUT THE NWGC
A new independent NCAA Division III women's golf conference has been formed: the Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC). 

Suffolk is one of the 10 original members of the league with Husson, Johnson & Wales, Keuka, Nazareth, SUNY Canton, SUNY Cortland, St. John Fisher, Utica and Westfield State comprising the league, which was established in the Spring of 2019. Prior to the first tee-off of the fall campaign, Manhattanville joined the league ranks to bring the membership to 11. 

THE COURSE
NWGC's Champion will be crowned after competing two days on the Colonie Golf & Country Club's 18-hole, 6,8-47-yard, par-72 course.
