Women’s Golf Finishes 12th at Mt. Holyoke Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Suffolk women's golf team turned in a 12th-place performance at the 42nd annual Mount Holyoke Invitational at The Orchards Golf Club over the weekend. 

The Rams' card read 758 after the two-day event putting the blue-and-gold above its three Empire 8 Counterparts Johnson & Wales (776), Rhode Island College (863) and Westfield State (854). Amherst won the event with an impressive team score of 619.  

Individually, Aine Dillon paced Suffolk. The junior followed up a day one score of 86 with an 84 on the second day on the green for a total of 170, good for a tie of 41st. 

Suffolk's No. 2 Brooke Chapman had sole possession of 60th in the field of 96. The sophomore improve don her first day score of 94 with a 90 on the second day of action. 

Nicole Antonucci's 197 was good for 73rd, while McKenzie McGrath tied for 76th with a 208. 

Freshman Sophia Koester made her collegiate debut with a score of 216 to claim 84th overall. 

Suffolk heads back out this weekend as it returns to New York for the Martin and Wallace Invitational Sept. 29-30 at the Cortland Country Club.
