BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball returns to the friendly confines of Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court Thursday, Jan. 4 for a Commonwealth Coast Conference tilt against the University of New England. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's basketball allowed Curry to keep things interesting as the Colonels took their first lead of the night late in the fourth quarter before the Rams came back to capture the Commonwealth Coast Conference contest, 58-51, Tuesday night at Katz Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk holds a 9-2 overall mark and 3-1 CCC ledger.  

Amanda DeAngelis and Lauren Romito are critical cogs into the Rams successful season thus far. DeAngelis averages a double-double with 13.9 ppg and 11.3 rpg, both of which sit atop the team. Romito, meanwhile, is second on the squad in both categories with 12.3 ppg and 8.9 rpg.  

NOR'EASTER NOTES
UNE started its second semester second with a 64-61 triumph over Hartford Tuesday night to bring a 7-4 overall mark and 2-1 CCC record to Boston.  

The trio of Jordyn Franzen (15.3 ppg, 8.5 rpg), Faye Veilleux (11.8 rpg, 5.2 rpg) and Kaylee Beyor (10.5 rpg, 9.6 rpg) have been the main ingredients to UNE's offensive and defensive units.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

• Suffolk sits 1-4 all-time against the University of New England. 
• The Rams first and only win over the Nor'Easters came a year ago, Feb. 16, 2023 via a 62-59 decision. 
• The foes last tangled in the 2023 CCC Quarterfinals where UNE bested the blue-and-gold, 63-53, Feb. 21, 2023.
