CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Jordan Moreau of the Suffolk women's basketball team garnered CCC Rookie of the Week for the second straight week after helping the Rams put together a 2-1 week, the league office announced.

The award comes on the heels of a week in which Moreau supplied 9.7 points per game on a 50.0 connection rate from the field and 60.0 showing from 3-point land with 3.7 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per contests.

To get the week going, the freshman made 3-for-4 field goals, went 2-for-2 from downtown and matched that output at the free throw line for 10 points to help Suffolk take down Salem State, 79-61. In the victory over the Vikings, she added a pair of boards and one rebounds.

Two days later at Gordon, the North Kingstown, Rhode Island product was a crucial cog in Suffolk's first-ever CCC-opening win, an 86-69 decision over the Fighting Scots. Moreau totaled a career-high four assists to go along with 13 points, three rebounds and a pair of takeaways.

To wrap up the week, the guard contribute six points, six caroms, two dimes and one steal in a one-point loss to current league leader Roger Williams. All six of her points came in the second half when Suffolk overcame a 16-point deficit in the fourth court, outscoring the Hawks, 30-15, in the attempted comeback.

Moreau is one of two Rams to earn CCC weekly awards this year alongside Lauren Romito, who collected CCC Player of the Week Nov. 20. This year, Suffolk has three weekly nods from the conference, Moreau owns two.

Moreau and Suffolk are back in action tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 5 when it welcomes Endicott to Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court for a 5:30 p.m. conference clash.
