BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball's Jordan Moreau collected Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week after helping the Rams rally past Salve Regina, 97-93, in overtime Nov. 21, the league office announced Monday.
Moreau was an all-around contributor with career-high numbers in points (16), field goals made (5), rebounds (9), assists (3) and blocks (2) to help Suffolk comeback and take down the Seahawks. In the victory, the freshman from North Kingstown, Rhode Island went 5-for-5 at the charity stripe to push Suffolk to 3-0 on the year, its best start since 2011-12.
Moreau is the second Ram to earn CCC Weekly of the Week honors this year as Lauren Romito was named the conference's best player over a seven-day stretch Nov. 20. Moreau is the first Rams rookie recognized since Colby Guinta earned the feat Dec. 12, 2022.
Suffolk and Moreau are back in action tonight, Monday, Nov. 27 at Salem State at 7 p.m.
