Women’s Basketball Runs Past Lesley, 61-26

BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball wrapped up its 2022-23 non-conference calendar in convincing fashion as every Ram who took Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court Thursday night contributed to the Rams' 61-26 triumph over Lesley.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 61 | Lesley 26
RECORDS: Suffolk (9-5) | Lesley (4-10)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk build a 13-2 advantage in the first four minutes. That gap stretched to 17-5 at the end of the first frame even with the host not scoring for the final 3:30 of the opening quarter.

The Rams scoring lull ended on their first possession of the second stanza and Lesley's offense was limited to just five points for the second straight quarter, which allowed Suffolk to take a 30-10 advantage into the locker room.

Lesley had a burst out of energy out of half time and trimmed the distance down to 16, 32-16, in the first half of the third quarter.

Suffolk controlled the rest of the third quarter and outscored the Lynx, 10-1, to go up by 25, 42-17.

Momentum continued to swing in the Rams favor throughout the fourth quarter to seal the 61-25 victory.
