BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball makes its first road trip of 2022 Wednesday, Jan. 12 when it travels to Curry for a 5:30 p.m. Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest.

UPDATED FAN POLICY
With the health and well-being of students and staff remaining the highest priority, effective immediately, spectators will not be permitted at Suffolk University Athletics home contests through the end of January 2022. At that time, the spectator policy will be reevaluated.
The change in the spectator policy comes as a precaution against the increase in COVID cases throughout the city, state and region.
The spectator policy applies to on-campus venues including, but not limited to, Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, home of Suffolk basketball, as well as off-campus locations in the men's ice hockey home rink, Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink, and the women's hockey arena, Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

LAST TIME OUT
Jenni-Rose DiCecco and Amanda DeAngelis each provided all-around efforts with double-doubles to anchor Suffolk women's basketball's 87-68 victory over Nichols in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tuesday Night at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk opened its second semester with an 87-68 win over Nichols to improve to 8-3 on the year and 2-2 in CCC action.
The Rams' 71.1 points per game offensive output is well-balanced with just one player producing double figures consistently in Jenni-Rose DiCecco's 15.5 ppg. Allie Lopes adds 9.8 ppg with Amanda DeAngelis and Gabriella DeComo each providing 8.3 ppg. Natalie Fraioli chips in 8.0 ppg.
Emily Welling paves the defensive effort with 7.8 rpg with DeAngelis grabbing 7.6 rpg to be a threat on the glass as well. As a team, the blue-and-gold brings down 49.6 rpg, outrebounding its foes by an 11.2 margin.
COLONELS CATCHUP
Curry has fall in three straight including an 87-56 setback to UNE Monday to dip to 3-10 on the year and 0-6 in CCC action.
A trio of players are the core to the Colonels 59.5 ppg in Kristyanna Remillard (12.5 ppg), Kathryn Dunn (12.3 ppg) and Kaitlynn Smith (11.0 ppg). Dunn is the biggest threat on the boards as well with 8.8 rpg to pace Curry's 36.7 rpg.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Suffolk is 19-16 all-time against Curry.
- The Rams have won five contests in a row against the Colonels, which is a new record in the all-time series.
- Last season, Suffolk swept the Colonels in the home-and-home series.
- In Boston, Suffolk is 10-6 all-time against the Colonels.
- As the away team, the Rams are 9-9 versus Curry.
- Suffolk has met Curry at a neutral site once, in 1985-86, and lost, 63-59.
- The Rams and Colonels have needed extra time once in the all-time series in 1997-98. Suffolk came out on the wrong side of an 89-87 double overtime decision.
RAMS RECOGNITION
Awards poured in for sophomore Amanda DeAngelis after her monster 29-point, 22-rebound double-double against Nichols. The forward collected New England Women's Basketball Association Player of the week, swept CCC Player and Rookie of the Week and was voted Ram of the Week.
