BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball secured its second straight GNAC win Thursday night and looks to bring that winning momentum going Saturday, Jan. 18 when the Rams head to Lasell for a 2:00 p.m. showdown.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's basketball held off an Albertus Magnus comeback, used clock management, and composure to secure it second straight GNAC win, a 65-59 triumph over the Falcons Thursday night at Emmanuel's Andy Yosnioff Court.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is one of four unbeaten GNAC team through a pair of conference clashes with a 2-0 league ledger. Overall, the Rams have compiled their 25th consecutive double-digit win campaign and sit at 10-4 on the year.  

The blue-and-gold has seen each of member of its starting five contribute offensively throughout the season. The trio of Jenni-Rose DiCecco (14.9 ppg), Gabriella DeComo (10.7 ppg) and Alexis Hackett (10.1 ppg) provide consistent sparks with Jordan Hipwell and Allie Lopes adding 7.4 ppg and 6.9 ppg, respectively. 

Hackett holds down the boards with 9.6 rpg. Emily Welling adds 5.3 rpg to the Rams' 40.6 rpg effort with DiCecco pitching in 4.5 rpg and Hipwell grabbing 4.1 rpg. 

LASERS LOOK
Lasell downed Norwich, 63-40, Tuesday night to bring a 7-6 overall record and 1-1 GNAC mark into the conference clash Saturday. \ 

Amanda Ortiz is the force on both sides of the ball of the Lasers. The senior guard knocks down 21.1 ppg and brings down 9.5 rpg. She leads the team in every statistical category matter of fact with 2.5 apg, 3.6 spg and 1.4 bpg.  

Precious Montgomery, meanwhile, is second on the squad in nearly all categories as well with 10.4 ppg , 6.1 rpg, 2.5 apg and 2.0 spg. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk boasts an unbeaten record against Lasell all-time at 12-0.
