BOSTON – After returning to the win column Tuesday night, the Suffolk women's basketball team steps out of conference play one final time in 2018-19 when it makes the short trip to Pine Manor Thursday, Jan. 31. The Rams and Gators are set for a 6 p.m. tip-off.

LAST TIME OUT
Three Rams notched double figures led by a career-night from Allie Lopes to pace the Suffolk women's basketball team to a 79-64 triumph against Lasell Tuesday night inside Regan Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk hit the 15-win mark for the fourth straight season after defeating Lasell, 79-64, Tuesday night. 

The Rams' have relied upon the duo of Jenni-Rose DiCecco and Alexis Hackett to power the blue-and-gold on each end of the hardwood. DiCecco leads the way in points (16.4), assists (4.5) and steals (2.6) per game. Hackett, meanwhile, averages a double-double with a team-high 11.3 rpg to go along with 12.3 ppg. Allie Lopes has added a spark to both sides of the ball with 10.3 ppg and 3.7 rpg to her credit, while Marissa Gudauskas pitches in 8.3 ppg.

GET TO KNOW THE GATORS
Pine Manor has loss 10 in a row to dip to 1-14 on the season. The Gators lone victory of the year came Nov. 20 versus Suffolk's GNAC rival St. Joseph (Conn.), 60-49. 

PMC's offense produces just 47.1 ppg. The offense is well-balanced with Oceane Tabbak (9.7 ppg), Areille Harrell (9.5 ppg) and Aleah Lauti (9.0 ppg) being consistent contributors for the Gators.

Defensively, Pine Manor's 39.5 rpg performance is led by Kristen Harris' 8.4 rpg effort. Lauti chips in 7.9 rpg with Harrell adding 4.8 rpg.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • The Suffolk, Pine Manor series is one of the oldest in the record books with the foes first meeting dating back to the 1983-84 season.
  • Suffolk leads the all-time series 19-9.
  • The Gators commanded the earlier portion of the meetings with all nine of their wins coming over the first 10 games.
  • The Rams first win over PMC went down in the books in 1992-93 to break up the Gators' series-opening win streak.
  • Suffolk has commanded the series as of late, winning 19 in a row, including a 99-47 triumph over Pine Manor a year ago.
