EBOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team begins a three-game homestand Saturday, Jan. 19 when Johnson & Wales stops by Regan Gymnasium for a 1 p.m. conference clash.

LAST TIME OUT
Alexis Hackett and Allie Lopes each notched career high nights to anchor the Suffolk women's basketball team to a 59-49 victory over Norwich at Andrew Hall Gym Thursday night.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk remained unbeaten in GNAC action as it defeated Norwich, 59-49, Thursday night to move to 11-4 on the season and 3-0 in conference contests. 

Jenni-Rose DiCecco has been instrumental to Suffolk's success this season. The sophomore leads the Rams in nearly every category with 16.7 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 4.3 apg and 2.5 spg. She is complimented by junior Alexis Hackett, who paces the pack on the glass with 10.9 rpg to go along with 11.3 ppg to average a double-double effort. Suffolk newcomer, Allie Lopes, who transferred in at the semester break, has added a boost to the Rams' offense with 12.0 ppg.

WILDCAT WAYS
Johnson & Wales took down Rivier, 88-83, in overtime Thursday night to return to the win column and improve to 3-13 overall and 2-1 in league outings. 

Ally Mishol and Dede Stevenson provide 13.1 ppg and 10.9 ppg, respectively, to anchor the Wildcats' 55.6 ppg offense. Mishol is the top threat on the glass as well with the senior forwarding grabbing 5.9 rpg. Gabrielle Nicastri add 5.4 rpg to JWU's 34.9 rpg team effort. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Johnson & Wales last met in the GNAC Quarterfinals of the 2018 conference tournament when the Rams defeated the Wildcats 68-46 to improve to 18-8 all-time versus JWU.
  • The Rams have taken down the Wildcats in back-to-back meetings.
