BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball quest for GNAC glory begins tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 1 as the Rams head to Saint Joseph (Conn.) for its first conference clash of the season. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's basketball team stumbled in the second half and could not hold onto an 11-point half time edge as Bridgewater State bounced back to force not one, but two overtime and displace the Rams, 68-58, Thursday night inside the Tinsley Center.

RAMS RUNDOWN
After slipping in double overtime Thursday night, Suffolk moved to 4-3 on the season.  

The Rams' 67.4 ppg offense if paced by Jenni-Rose DiCecco's 17.7 ppg offense. Alexis Hackett provides 11.0 ppg with Gabriella DeComo chipping in 10.9 ppg. 

Hackett is the catalyst on the glass as the junior pulls down 11.0 rpg. DiCecco pitches in 6.3 rpg to the team effort of 41.7 rpg.  

GNAC OPENERS

  • Suffolk will open its 24th season of GNAC action Saturday. 
  • The Rams are 16-7 in the first conference game of the season, all of which have come under head coach Ed Leyden
  • The Rams will get their conference slate underway on the road for the 12th time in program history and fourth straight season. 
  • Last season the Rams down Lasell 57-36 in the first league outing of the year. 

BLUE JAYS BREAKDOWN
Saint Joseph (Conn.) has lost three in a row and heads into its conference opener with a 2-5 record. 

Cheyenne-Mone Smith is the only Blue Jay producing double figures with the freshman posting 11.5 ppg. Raleynn VOsilow and Silvanna Barcomb contribute 7.4 ppg and 7.1 ppg, respectively.   

Lindsey Montiminy paces USJ on the boards with 6.7 rpg. Diamond Wallen adds 5.7 rpg to the effort with Smith chipping in 5.2 rpg.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk has rattled off 13 straight wins over USJ to move to 20-2 in the all-time series, which dates back to 1997. 
  • The Rams downed the Blue Jays 80-60 in Boston last season.
