HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk used the run-and-gun game to its favor early on to build a 14-5 lead at the midway point of the first frame behind 10 unanswered points.

The Rams defense played the passing lane and limited the Colonels chances, holding the visitors scoreless for nearly six minutes. Once Curry found its way back on the scoreboard, the teams traded hoops and Suffolk remained in front after the first 10 minutes, 20-10.

A game of runs ensued out of the locker room as a Suffolk 6-0 stretch built a 44-22 lead in favor of the hosts that turned into a 52-28 Rams game after Rachel LaSaracina swished a baby jumper from the baseline.
