BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team fell in its second straight contest Tuesday night and looks to return to the win column Thursday, Feb. 1 when the Rams entertain Anna Maria. The Rams' 5 p.m. tip-off inside Regan Gymnasium opens a Suffolk basketball doubleheader, which features the men's team hosting Albertus Magnus at 8 p.m.

DOUBLE FEATURE
For the final time in the 2017-18 regular season, the Suffolk men's and women's basketball teams will host a doubleheader inside Regan Gymnasium. The women's squad gets the action going at 5 p.m. versus Anna Maria with the men's team wrapping up the action at 8 p.m. against Albertus Magnus. 

The men are 4-0 when playing on the same day at home as the women's squad, while the women are 3-1.

LAST TIME OUT
Despite coming back and taking the lead in the first, the Suffolk women's basketball team could not hold off the Saints of Emmanuel as the Rams fell, 81-55, Tuesday night at Jean Yawkey Center.

RAMS RUNDOWN
With its second straight setback, Suffolk moved to 14-5 on the season and 7-3 in league action. 

A trio of Rams are producing double digits to lead the offense that puts up 68.9 ppg. Georgia Bourikas leads the way with 14.5 ppg with Jenni-Rose DiCecco coming in second with 13.7 ppg. Alexis Hackett round out the threesome with 10.4 ppg. 

Hackett is the main force on the glass with the sophomore pulling down 10.4 rpg. Bourikas pitches in 6.7 rpg and Jordan Hipwell contributes 6.4 rpg.

A BIT BOUT THE AMCATS
Anna Maria took down Saint Joseph (Conn.) 79-57 Tuesday night to with just its third contest this year to move to 3-16 overall and 2-8 in league action. 

Kristina Russo is the lone AMCAT to average double figures with 11.8 ppg to pace Anna Maria's 51.2 ppg offense. Kayla Odegaard tallies 7.4 ppg with Franchesca Hammon and Shannon Hofmiller recording 6.6 ppg and 6.4 ppg, respectively. 

Maritza Gustave's 7.6 rpg is the main ingredient to the AMCATs' 37.6 rpg. Hailey Moore adds 5.2 rpg to the effort.

THE SERIES
Suffolk is undefeated (6-0) all-time against Anna Maria with the series beginning in 2011-12. The Rams won last year's meeting 66-59 in Paxton, Massachusetts.

EYES ON THE GAME

RECORD WATCH
Georgia Bourikas is now just three points shy of the coveted 1,000-point milestone. The guard from Hull, Massachusetts, also looks to move her current fourth-place standing on the all-time treys made list with 133 up, while she has the chance to seal up spots on the all-time assists (200) and blocks (39) list as well.

Suffolk is back on the road Saturday, Feb. 3 when it visits Mount Ida for a 1 p.m. match up.
