BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team looks to return to the win column Tuesday, Jan. 23 as they open a three-game week at home when Simmons stops by Regan Gymnasium for a 7 p.m. showdown.

LAST TIME OUT
Thanks to a stunning fourth quarter in which Regis outscored Suffolk 24-7, the Pride handed the Suffolk women's basketball team its first loss over the last 11 games, 58-50, Saturday afternoon at Higgins Court.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk's loss at Regis, the Rams first since Nov. 21, moved the blue-and-gold to 12-3 on the season and 5-1 in conference competition, which is good for third place along with Emmanuel (9-6, 5-1 GNAC). 

The dynamic senior, freshman duo of Georgia Bourikas and Jenni-Rose DiCecco continue to pace Suffolk's offensive unit that puts in 69.6 ppg. Bourikas leads the way with 15.2 ppg, while DiCecco chips in 14.7 ppg.  

Alexis Hackett's 11.4 rpg anchors the Rams' 43.4 rpg with the sophomore guard nearly averaging a double-double with 9.6 ppg. Bourikas contributes 6.7 rpg to the effort on the boards with Jordan Hipwell pitching in 6.5 rpg.

SHARKS SAYINGS
Simmons has the lost the last seven contests, including a 67-64 decision at Lasell Saturday, to move to 1-11 on the year and 1-6 in league action. The lone win for the Sharks this season came at Anna Maria, 70-52, Dec. 2. 

As a team Simmons scores 50.5 ppg with Presley Silva as the one Shark producing double figures in 14.1 ppg. Molly Phillips and Jalissa Rodriguez add notch 8.5 ppg and 7.3 ppg, respectively.

Defensively, Silva leads the way once again as the senior forward brings down 9.2 rpg. Lauren Brandau (5.0 rpg) and Phillips (4.5 rpg) add to the effort.

THE SERIES
The Suffolk, Simmons rivalry is one of the oldest in the Rams history, dating back to 1984. The blue-and-gold has rattled off eight consecutive wins over its Boston and conference rival to take a 23-3 all-time series lead.

RECORD WATCH
Georgia Bourikas looks to stamp her name in the Rams' record book this season. The senior is just 51 points shy of the coveted 1,000-point milestone. The guard from Hull, Massachusetts, also looks to move her current fourth-place standing on the all-time treys made list with 127 up, while she also has the chance to seal up spots on the all-time assists (190) and blocks (37) list.
