BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team, winners of nine straight games, will put its win streak on the line when it welcomes Norwich to Regan Gymnasium Thursday, Jan. 18. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. and serves as the opener of a Rams' basketball doubleheader with the men's team entertaining Emmanuel in the nightcap at 7 p.m.

DOUBLEHEADER
For the third time this season, Suffolk's basketball teams will take part in a doubleheader. The women's team gets the action underway at 5 p.m. versus Norwich with the men's team capping the action off at 7 p.m. against Emmanuel.
Both teams are 2-0 when playing on the same day inside Regan Gymnasium this season.
LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's basketball team extended its win streak to nine straight with a 70-54 victory over Albertus Magnus Saturday afternoon inside Regan Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk kept its win streak going and tallied its ninth victory in a row Saturday with a 70-54 decision over Albertus Magnus to improve to 11-2 on the year and 4-0 against conference competition.
The Rams' 72.2 ppg offense is led by Georgia Bourikas' 15.3 ppg and Jenni-Rose DiCecco's 15.0 ppg. Alexis Hackett is also on the verge of averaging double figures with the sophomore contributing 9.9 ppg.
On the glass, Hackett's 11.7 rpg paces Suffolk's 43.5 rpg. Bourikas chips in 6.3 rpg with Jordan Hipwell adding 6.2 rpg.
CADETS CATCH UP
Norwich ran past Lasell, 59-41, Tuesday night to improve to 5-7 on the season and 2-3 in conference play.
The Cadets 53.3 ppg are anchored by Shyann Josler as the senior guard produces 14.2 ppg. Classmate Arianna Harrison joins Josler in double digit scoring with 10.7 ppg to her credit.
The pair also leads the way on the glass with Harrison's 7.9 rpg packing the pack while Josler pulls down 4.7 rpg. Emily Oliver adds 4.8 rpg to the effort.
THE SERIES
The Rams and Cadets last met in the GNAC Quarterfinals with Suffolk falling to Norwich, 67-53. Overall, the blue-and-gold has commanded the all-time series, which it leads, 20-9.
EYES ON THE GAME
BEST YET
Suffolk sealed the best start in the program's 35-year history at 8-2 with its 74-67 win over Emerson Dec. 12. Now at 11-2, the Rams continue to keep up the history setting ways
STREAKING
The Rams have rattled off eight consecutive wins. The win streak marks the longest for the blue-and-gold since stringing victories together in the 2000-01 season.
CONFERENCE COMPETITION
Suffolk's 4-0 start to league play is the best since winning the first five league matches in the 2012-13 slate.
ROOKIE RECOGNITION
Suffolk women's basketball's Jordan Hipwell earned GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week after a 10.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg performance in a 2-0 week for the Rams.

RECORD WATCH
Georgia Bourikas looks to stamp her name in the Rams' record book this season. The senior is just 78 points shy of coveted 1,000-point milestone. The guard from Hull, Massachusetts, also looks to move her current fourth-place standing on the all-time treys made list with 127 up, while she also has the chance to seal up spots on the all-time assists (183) and blocks (31) list.
