BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team is set to open its 2017-18 GNAC slate in a midweek matchup Wednesday, Nov. 29 as the Rams pay visit to Lasell. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Jenni-Rose DiCecco and Alexis Hackett combined for 48 points as Suffolk women's basketball secured a second-half comeback 72-57 win over Curry at Katz Gymnasium Monday night.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk returned to the win column Monday night as it defeated the Colonels of Curry, 72-57, to improve to 3-2 on the season. 

The Rams' 65.2 ppg receives double-digit efforts from a pair of players in Jenni-Rose DiCecco (15.4 ppg) and Georgia Bourikas (11.2 ppg), while Alexis Hackett produces 9.8 ppg. On the glass, Suffolk grabs 40.0 rpg led by Hackett's 11.6 ppg including 9.8 boards per contest on the defensive end. DiCecco (4.8 rpg) and Bourikas (4.6 rpg) are second and third on the squad, respectively, in rebounds.

LASERS LOOK
Lasell picked up back-to-back wins to open the season, but fell to Framingham State, 59-46, in its last outing to move to 2-1 on the young season. 

The Lasers average 59.0 ppg with Morgan Church's 24.0 ppg leading the way. The senior guard who shoots 44.8 percent from the floor is the lone Laser averaging over double figures with Brian Hoffman (7.7 ppg), Dana Ross (7.3 ppg), Jaime Caron (7.0 ppg) and Meghan Carroll (7.0 ppg) all chipping in over 7.00 ppg. 

Ross' 13.0 rpg is the anchor to the Lasers 46.7 rpg with Church and Caron contributing 8.0 rpg and 5.3 rpg, respectively.

THE SERIES
Suffolk is undefeated all-time versus Lasell since the series began in 2007-08. The Rams hold a 10-0 ledger versus the Lasers including a 61-50 victory in the last meeting Feb. 1, 2017.

EYES ON THE GAME

GNAC GATES
Suffolk will open its 23rd season of GNAC action Wednesday. The Rams are 15-7 in the first conference game of the season, all under head coach Ed Leyden

The Rams will get their conference slate underway on the road for the 12th time in program history and third straight season, while the blue-and-gold also lifts the lid on its conference contest in November for the second straitght season. 

Last season, the Rams met Emmanuel and fell to the Saints, 75-63.  

RECORD WATCH
Georgia Bourikas looks to stamp her name in the Rams' record book this season. The senior is just 223 points shy of the coveted 1,000-point milestone. The guard from Hull, Massachusetts, also looks to move her current fourth-place standing on the all-time treys made list with 112 up, while she also has the chance to seal up spots on the all-time assists (162) and blocks (29) list.

Suffolk will take a break for the Thanksgiving holiday and return to action Monday, Nov. 27 with a trip to Curry. Game time in Milton, Massachusetts, is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
