BOSTON – Coming off a championship run at the Roadrunner Tip-Off Tournament over the weekend, the Suffolk women's basketball team is set to play in front of its home crowd for the first time in 2017-18 as the Rams welcome Colby Sawyer to Regan Gymnasium Tuesday, Nov. 21. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's basketball team put together a 60-55 win over Ramapo Saturday afternoon at the Bradley Center to win the 2017 Roadrunner Tip-Off Tournament.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Since slipping to Salve Regina, 52-50, in the season opener, Suffolk put together back-to-back wins, a 90-45 convincing victory over Saint Joseph's (Brooklyn), and a 60-55 triumph over Ramapo to improve to 2-1 on the season. 

Jenni-Rose DiCecco has made the most of her collegiate debut as the freshman paces Suffolk's offense with 14.0 ppg and 4.7 apg. Georgia Bourikas adds double figures with 12.7 ppg, while Alexis Hackett chips in 8.7 ppg. Defensively, Suffolk's 40.7 rpg are ld by Hackett's 11.0 rpg with Jordan Hipwell (5.3 rpg) and Bourikas (4.7 rpg) contributing to the effort.

CHARGERS CATCH UP
Colby Sawyer captured The Cave Classic thanks to wins over Norwich (49-34) and tournament hosts Bridgewater State (67-50) to bring an undefeated 2-0 record into Tuesday's tilt. 

A trio of Chargers led the way both offensively and defensively. Tianna Sugar's 15.5 ppg and 14.0 ppg led the way. Lexie Hamilton is second on the squad in scoring at 13.0 ppg and third in rebounds, grabbing 6.0 rpg with Emmani Robinson rounding out the top trio with 11.0 ppg and 9.0 rpg. 

Colby Sawyer is coached by veteran George Martin, who is in his 24th year at the helm of the chargers.

THE SERIES
Suffolk and Colby Sawyer will take the hardwood against one another for the 22nd time Tuesday. Overall, the Rams trail the all-time series, 8-13, after falling to the Chargers, 75-57 last season in London, New Hampshire.  

EYES ON THE GAME

RECORD WATCH
Georgia Bourikas looks to stamp her name in the Rams' record book this season. The senior is just 241 points shy of the coveted 1,000-point milestone. The guard from Hull, Massachusetts, also looks to move her current fourth-place standing on the all-time treys made list with 107 up, while she also has the chance to seal up spots on the all-time assists (159) and blocks (29) list.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Suffolk will take a break for the Thanksgiving holiday and return to action Monday, Nov. 27 with a trip to Curry. Game time in Milton, Massachusetts, is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
