Three different Rams recorded double figures as the Suffolk women's basketball team defeated Lasell, 61-50, Thursday night inside Regan Gymnasium.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk carries a 15-6 overall record and 10-2 league ledger into Saturday's showdown with the Monks. The Rams' 10-2 mark versus conference competition marks just the seventh time in Suffolk women's basketball history that the blue-and-gold won 10 conference contests in a single season.
The Rams winning ways are in large part to the third-best offense in the league of 67.5 ppg off the third-highest connection rate from the floor, shooting 38.9 percent. Suffolk is the most potent squad on the long ball with a 35.2 percent performance from three-point range, while the Rams are also successful at the charity stripe, shooting 66.3 percent. Seniors Kelsey Scheibel and Georgia Bourikas led a well-balanced attack offensively with 10.4 ppg and 10.3 ppg, respectively. Alexis Hackett adds 8.8 ppg to the effort with Caitlyn Caramello chipping in 8.5 ppg.
Suffolk's defensive play ranks better than its offense as the Rams pull down a league-best caroms per outing, 47.6, and hold the highest margin over opponents at 10.0. The blue-and-gold rebound numbers rank inside NCAA DIII Top-25. The Rams truly excel on the glass on the defensive end grabbing 32.3 rpg, which marked the fifth-most defensive caroms per contest across NCAA DIII as of Feb. 1. Four different Rams are grabbing 6.0 rpg or more with Caramello's 7.5 rpg pacing the pack. Katelyn Rourke provides 7.2 rpg with Alexandra Clarke and Hackett rounding out the foursome with 6.4 rpg and 6.0 rpg, respectively.
MONKS MENTIONABLES
St. Joseph (Maine) is the lone unbeaten GNAC team remaining with an 11-0 league ledger and 17-3 overall mark. Similar to Suffolk, the Monks ride a two-game win streak into Saturday with victories over Lasell (83-39) and Anna Maria (82-57).
Offensively, SJC is in the middle of the pack of the conference with 65.8 ppg, but carries two of the most individual offensive threats in Emily Benway (15.3 ppg) and Kelsi McNamara (14.5 ppg), who rank sixth and ninth in the league, respectively.
SJC's performance on the glass ranks at the lower end of the conference's tier grabbing just 39.6 rpg. Benway once against leads the way with 8.6 rpg, which is good for the seventh-highest boards per contest in the conference.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Home court advantage has played a vital role in the Suffolk, St. Joseph's (Maine) all-time series. The Rams hold a 7-6 edge in the all-time meetings with six victories over the Monks coming inside Regan Gymnasium and all of their setbacks coming in Standish, Maine.

JOINING THE ELITE
Thursday night Kelsey Schiebel joined an elite group of Rams with her 100th career appearance in blue-and-gold. Schiebel is now one of 16 Suffolk women's basketball players to take the hardwood in 100 games.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Since November 28 the GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week has donned Suffolk blue-and-gold with Alexis Hackett earning six honors, including four straight from Dec. 12 - Jan. 16, and Katelyn Rourke picking up the nod twice, Dec. 5 and Jan. 23.
BEST ROOK IN NEW ENGLAND
After collecting her fifth GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week nod this season, Suffolk women's basketball's Alexis Hackett earned another recognition as the NEWBA named her Rookie of the Week, the association announced Monday afternoon.
