BOSTON – Playing in front of its home crowd for the first time in 2017, the Suffolk women's basketball team looks to extend its win streak to four straight when the Rams entertain Albertus Magnus inside Regan Gymnasium Thursday, Jan. 12 at 5 p.m.

DOUBLE FEATURE
For the third time this season, Suffolk's basketball teams will partake in a double header. The women's squad gets the action going at 5 p.m. versus Albertus Magnus with the men's team hosting the Falcons in the nightcap at 7:15 p.m. 

Both of the Rams' squads are 1-1 this season when playing the same day inside Regan Gymnasium with each team winning the last outing. The women's team defeated Johnson & Wales in a one-point thriller, 61-60, while the men's team took down Norwich, 61-52. 

LAST TIME OUT
Behind 12 fourth quarter points from Alexis Hackett, the Suffolk women's basketball team outscored Anna Maria, 21-9, in the final frame to complete the comeback and secure a 66-59 GNAC victory over the AMCATS inside the Fuller Activities Center Thursday night.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk brings a three-game win streak into Thursday night that pushed the Rams 8-5 overall and 3-1 in the GNAC, which is good for a three-way tie for first-place in the South standings with Albertus Magnus and Emmanuel. 

The Rams' well-balanced 66.4 ppg are good for third in amongst its conference counterparts. Kelsey Schiebel and Georgia Bourikas lead Suffolk's offense with 10.6 ppg and 10.5 ppg, respectively. 

Suffolk truly stands out defensively with the second-most rebounds per outing in the league at 44.4 rpg, outrebounding its opponents by a 6.7 margin. Katelyn Rourke is the main ingredient on the glass for Rams with the freshman pulling down 7.6 rpg with Caitlyn Caramello adding 7.2 rpg.  

FALCONS FACTS
Albertus Magnus is also on a win streak, winning its last two outings to sit at 8-5 overall and 3-1 in the league, tying Suffolk and Emmanuel for the top spot in the south standings. 

The Falcons' offense is the most potent in the conference, putting away 72.0 ppg thanks to the league's leader, Olivia Bolden, who puts down 17.8 ppg. Liz Falcigno and Jill Johnson also contribute double digits for Albertus Magnus with 14.3 ppg and 10.9 ppg, respectively. 

Albertus Magnus also sits atop the conference on the defensive side of the conference with 47.6 rpg. The Falcons are outrebounding their opponents by a 3.7 margin thanks in a large part to Bolden, who grabs 11.7 rpg, to complete a double-double average. 

THE SERIES
Suffolk leads the all-time series versus Albertus Magnus, 13-7, including a monumental 104-99 win last season versus the Falcons, which marked a program record for most points scored.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Suffolk's freshman class has dominated the GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week as of late with the Rams taking the last four weekly accolades. Overall, Alexis Hackett, who garnered the honor three times including back-to-back honors Dec. 12 and Jan. 3, and Katelyn Rourke, who picked up her first collegiate nod Dec. 5, have taken home 80 percent (4-5) of the conference's best rookie over a seven day stretch accolades this season.

BEST ROOK IN NEW ENGLAND
After collecting her second GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week accolade Dec. 12, Alexis Hackett added more hardware to her growing collection as the freshman was named New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Rookie of the Week the same day the association announced.
