BOSTON – Alexis Hackett of the Suffolk women's basketball team added her third weekly accolade to her resume as the freshman brought home GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
In the Rams' 2016 finale, Hackett totaled five points, nine rebounds, three assists with one steal and one block in a 53-44 setback at Clark December 13.
Suffolk has now earned four of the league's five rookie of the week nods this season with Hackett taking home three honors and Katelyn Rourke being named the conference's best rookie over a seven day stretch once on December 5.
Hackett and the Rams, who are 5-5 overall this season, will take the hardwood for the first time in 2017 Thursday, Jan. 5 at Pine Manor. The out of league action is set to tip-off at 3 p.m.
