Murray, Unni Tabbed All-GNAC Sportsmanship Team

BOSTON – The GNAC office released the 2016 winter all-conference teams Monday afternoon and Suffolk saw two of its seniors on the men's and women's basketball teams recognized with all-sportsmanship honors in Katie Murray and Caleb Unni.

Sidelined due to injury for the majority of her senior campaign, Murray continue to challenge herself and her teammates and always steered Suffolk's passion towards the game even during the teams' most difficult times. Her presence of high intensity and comradery will be greatly missed next season. Murray wraps up her four-year career and will walk across the stage this spring with a degree in marketing.

Unni, who has been selected to the team for the second time in his career, embodies the true definition of a student-athlete. The senior tri-captain is a diligent student that finds the time to represent and be committed to a team, while also being connected to his studies as double-major with the team's highest grade point average. On the court, he has proven to be one of the most prolific scorers in program history and became the 13th member of Suffolk's 1,000-point club February 13. He made 103 appearances in blue-and-gold throughout his four-year career and will graduate in May with dual degrees in business management and marketing.

The all-sportsmanship team was established to honor one player from each team in the conference outstanding dedication to sportsmanship and for their portrayal of good sportsmanship, fair play and a positive attitude.
