BOSTON – For the second time this season, Chelsea Campellone was recognized by the ECAC as the Suffolk women's basketball player was tabbed Division III New England Player of the Week.

Campellone adds the weekly award to her growing list with the 5-foot-8 forward picking up GNAC nods yesterday afternoon after averaging 24.0 points and 14.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Rams to bring her yearly total to five (3 GNAC / 2 ECAC).

The Fall River, Masschusetts native opened the week with her 10th double-double of the season in a comeback victory over River. She totaled 27 points and 15 rebounds to lift Suffolk past the Raiders, 61-57.

On her senior day, Campellone did not disappoint as she poured in 22 points and 13 rebounds in a historic win over Albertus Magnus. Her fifth 20-plus point game of the season helped the Rams set a new program record in points scored in the 104-99 overtime victory over the Falcons.

This season Campellone has put together double-digit scoring in 17 outings, including the last seven. She currently leads the Rams in scoring (15.7 ppg) and ranks sixth amongst GNAC players with 15.7 ppg.
