Women’s Basketball Crushes Program Single-Game Scoring Record

BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball record books were rewritten Saturday afternoon as the Rams poured in 104 points in a 104-99 overtime GNAC victory against Albertus Magnus.

Suffolk not only scored 100 points for the first time, but surpassed it by four and out did the 40-year program's previous record of 96 points, which was set in a 96-49 triumph over Yeshiva November 15, 2014.  The Rams took 74 shots and used a 48.6 connection rate from the field (36-74), 44.0 percent from three (11-25) and 72.4 percent (21-29) at the line to reset the single-game points record.

Seven Rams combined for the new record led by Alessandra Quadri's 26. Chelsea Campellone contributed her fifth 20-plus point game of the season with 22 points with Georgia Bourikas and Kelsey Schiebel adding 19 and 17 points, respectively.

The Rams take their three-game win-streak on the road as they return to action Tuesday, Feb. 16 at Saint Joseph's (Conn.). Suffolk and the Blue Jays will tip-off at 7 p.m.
