BOSTON – After one-game on the road, the Suffolk women's basketball team returns home Saturday, Feb. 6 as the Rams host Norwich at 1 p.m.

DOUBLE DIP
For the fifth time this season, the Suffolk basketball teams will take part in a double feature with the women's squad tipping things off at 1 p.m. against Norwich, before the men's team takes on the Cadets at 3:15 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's basketball team could not complete a comeback Thursday night at the Wildcat Center as the Rams fell to Johnson & Wales, 5-44, in GNAC action. 

Chelsea Campellone put together her ninth double-double effort of the season for Suffolk with a game-high 16-point and 12-rebound effort. Georgia Bourikas and Caitlyn Caramello also provided an offensive spark for the Rams with each of the reserves registering seven points.

RUN DOWN ON THE RAMS

  •  Suffolk sits at 11-9 overall and 3-3 in GNAC play heading into Saturday's game after its 50-44 setback at Johnson & Wales. Eight of the Rams' 11 victories have come inside the friendly confines of Regan Gymnasium. 
  • Having a standout senior season, Chelsea Campellone leads Suffolk on both ends of the hardwood with 14.7 ppg and 10.1 rpg. 
  • Alessandra Quadri also notches double figures with 10.0 ppg and the senior adds 6.4 rpg on the glass. 
  •   As a team, the Rams average 65.0 ppt, shooting 35.9 percent from the field, 30.5 percent from beyond-the-arc and 64.9 percent at the line. 

CATCH UP ON THE CADETS

  • Norwich stepped out of league play Tuesday and picked up a  58-47 victory at Plymouth State, improving its overall record to 12-8. The Cadets last GNAC outing was a 92-71 victory over Mount Ida January 30 that pushed Norwich's GNAC mark to 4-3. 
  • Three different Cadets average double digits led by Heather LeBlanc's 13.8. Shyann Josler is not far behind in second with 13.5 ppg and Arianna Harrison rounds out the trio with 11.9 ppg. 
  • It is LeBlanc on the defensive end that leads the charge with the junior forward pulling down 10.9 rpg. 

WHAT'S NEXT?
Suffolk will play two home games next week. First a Tuesday, Feb. 9 versus Rivier at 7 p.m., before closing its home slate Saturday, Feb. 13 against Albertus Magnus at 1 p.m.
