BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team makes the trip to Providence, Rhode Island tonight to take on Johnson & Wales in GNAC action inside The Wildcat Center.

LAST TIME OUT
In its final non-conference contest of the season, the Suffolk women's basketball team dropped a 64-46 decision to UMass Boston Tuesday night inside Regan Gymnasium.
Chelsea Campellone was the lone Ram in double figures with 11. Georgia Bourikas pitched in seven points off the bench with Caitlyn Caramello and Kelsey Schiebel putting in six apiece. Alessandra Quadri led Suffolk on the boards with nine and Caramello grabbed six.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
- Despite its setback Tuesday night, Suffolk finished its non-conference slate 8-5 overall, its best out of league ledger since the 2012-13 season (13-1). Now 11-8 on the year, the Rams set their sights on GNAC competition, where the blue-and-gold sit 3-2 against conference opponents.
- The Rams offense (65.1 ppg), spearheaded by Chelsea Campellone's 14.6 ppg, ranks seventh amongst GNAC schools, while Suffolk's defense that allows 60.6 ppg sits sixth. Alessandra Quadri joins Campellone in double figures as the senior provides 10.4 ppg.
- Where Suffolk makes up ground is on the boards. The Rams pull down a league-best 32.6 boards per game, led by Campellone's 9.9, which ranks third in the conference.
WILDCAT WAYS
- Since its overtime loss to St. Joseph's of Maine, Johnson & Wales has recommitted to playing strong defense and has used that to go 3-0 over its last three. In its last outing, the Wildcats ran past Worcester State, 73-47, to improve to 18-2 overall.
- JWU's 68.7 ppg is good for third amongst GNAC schools as a trio of Wildcats contribute double figures. Ashley Thompson leads the way with 16.7 ppg with Raquel Pederzani and Bobbie Whitehand adding 12.5 ppg and 11.4 ppg, respectively.
- Whitehead and Thompson are also the leaders on the glass for the Wildcats. Whitehead pulls down a team-high 9.9 rpg, while Thompson grabs 7.9 rpg.
