Sophomore Iliana Quadri (Sudbury, Mass.) scored a career-high 26 points, junior Jennifer Ruys (Wallingford, Conn.) recorded a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds, and senior Jacqueline Vienneau (Salem, N.H.) nearly missed a triple-double as she scored a season-high 20 points to go along with eight assists and seven rebounds as the Suffolk University Women's Basketball team topped Framingham State University, 82-66 on Thursday evening.

Suffolk improves to 4-2 on the season as they posted consecutive victories on back to back nights, while Framingham State falls to 1-3 on the season.

Senior Madeleine Park (Blue Hill, Me.) scored 24 points in the contest for Framingham State as she was 10-for-17 from the field, including 4-for-8 from beyond the arc. The visiting Rams shot 47.6-percent as a team (10-for-21) in the game, including a 7-for-11 second half effort. Park led the way as she scored 17 points in the second half.

Suffolk held a huge advantage in the contest on the glass as they finished with a 56-36 advantage in rebounds. Ruys led all rebounds with 14, while sophomore Tori Brillaud (North Andover, Mass.) had 10 to go along with seven points.

Junior Kristen Hoffman (Foxboro, Mass.) netted 14 points while senior Kia Minor (Edgartown, Mass.) scored 13 for Framingham State.

Suffolk jumped out of the gates early as a 19-3 run midway through the first half would push them to a 16-point edge halfway through the opening period at 26-10. The host Rams would managed to build a 39-22 lead with 3:18 remaining in the opening period as senior Lindsey Rogers (Gloucester, Mass.) connected on a layup. An 8-0 run to end the first half by Framingham State would make it a 39-30 game at the break. The visiting Rams would continue to rally to open the second half as they came out with an 8-2 run in the first 2:40 as Hoffman landed one of her four three-pointers in the game to cut to a three-point, 41-38 lead. That was as close as it would get however as Suffolk would outpace Framingham State over the final seventeen minutes of the game led by Ruys who scored 14 points in the second half.

Both teams will be back in action on Saturday in non-conference matchups. Framingham State will host Lasell College at 1:00pm, while Suffolk will host Westfield State University at the Regan Gymnasium at 3:00pm.
