The Mustangs piled on the runs in the second as they handled the Rams starter Alexa White and first reliever Ashlyn Conley to extend the edge to 10-1.

Similar to the opening stanza, a Rams' response came in the bottom of the second. Base hits from Ashley KingJenny Jacob and Rebecca Gonzalez all singled to juice the bags. Two outs later, Savannah Scripter plated a pair of runners to pull the blue-and-gold within seven, 10-3.
