BOSTON – Suffolk softball geared up for the 2021 season by recruiting three newcomers to the squad, head coach Jaclyn Davis announced Thursday afternoon.
The three roster additions to the blue-and-gold are true freshmen Ira Boci, Rachel Doan, and Rebecca Gonzalez, who add depth at the pitching, catching, and fielding positions, respectively.
"We are excited to add four strong student-athletes to our roster this year," Davis said. "They have an opportunity to make an impact quickly. We are looking for them to immerse themselves in our program culture and to be prepared to step up as we are gearing up for the season. So far, their ability to connect with each other and to embrace Suffolk has been impressive."
Suffolk is on pace to have a regular 40-game slate without the usual spring break training trip to the south. More information regarding the Rams' 2021 spring seasons is anticipated to be unveiled by both the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and the University in late February, early March.
