HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk fell behind 1-0 after the first half inning, but made up the ground and then some in the bottom of the frame. Caitlin Murphy started things off with a triple to left field. Two batters later Jaclyn Flint leveled the playing field as she brought in Murphy on a single up the middle. The Rams would score another two hitters later as Ashley Zulla's single double the right field line scored Flint and put the blue-and-gold in front, 2-1.

Montclair State flipped the switch once again in the top of the second with a pair of runs to grab a 3-2 lead over Suffolk.

The back-and-forth game did not continue as the Red Hawks held Suffolk from there, added one run in the third and a pair in the sixth for the final 6-2 margin.
