BOSTON – Suffolk softball will play three consecutive doubleheaders over the weekend starting Friday (April 27) morning against Saint Joseph (Conn.) at 11 a.m. The Rams will then step out of GNAC play Saturday, April 28 in their Bark at the Park event versus Emerson before venturing to Simmons Sunday, April 29. Both weekend tilts are set for a 12 p.m. first pitch.

Payton Sylvester hit a go-ahead grand slam and came on as a relief arm to lead Suffolk softball past Saint Joseph's (Maine), 11-6, in the nightcap of a GNAC double feature Tuesday night at East Boston Memorial Park.

BARK AT THE PARK
Join Suffolk softball for the first annual Bark at the Park taking place at East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, April 28 when the Rams entertain Emerson in a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to bring their dog and cheer on Suffolk softball.

WHERE WE STAND
With two conference clashes left, Suffolk is in the driver seat. The Rams, who are currently two games behind JWU (20-2), at 18-2 can lock up first-place in the regular season with sweeps over Saint Joseph (Conn.) and Simmons this weekend.
RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk owns a 25-7 overall record and sits 18-2 against conference competition.
The Sylvester sisters buoy five hitters averaging over .400. Delaney Sylvester's .485 leads the way with Payton Sylvester's average of .466 falling in a close second. Payton Sylvester has a team-best 48 hits and 34 runs scored, while the pair has each contributed 36 RBI apiece. Delaney Sylvester has also chipped in 27 runs scored.
In the circle, Suffolk's staff has combined for a 2.42 ERA. Payton Sylvester paces the pitchers with a 1.62 ERA through 43.1 innings with 41 strikeouts. Taylor Holmes is also sub 2.00 clocking in with an ERA of 1.72 to go along with 46 punchouts through 57.0 innings. Ali Yamakaitis rounds out the top three arms with a team-best 47 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.41 through 72.2 innings of work.
BLUEJAYS BREAKDOWN
Saint Joseph split with Albertus, taking the nightcap, 8-3, to return to the win column and take a 20-12 mark on the season and a 12-6 league ledger, good for fourth in the conference standings.
Amaria Sharon is the true threat at the dish as the sophomore, who is hitting a .443 clip, has 47 hits for 27 RBI and has scored 24 times. Kara Klimaszewski and McKenna Driscoll are also at the plate. On a .393 average, Klimaszewski has recorded 33 hits, 14 RBI and 16 runs, while Driscoll boasts a .427 batting average for 32hits, 21 RBI and 13 runs scored.
The Blue Jays have gone back in forth between two arms through the entire season – Sharon and Alessandra Milaro. The two have each seen over 100.0 innings. Milardo owns a 4.05 ERA with 76 strikeouts, while Sharon brings in an ERA of 4.37 and 62 Ks.

EYES ON THE GAME
LIONS LOOK
Emerson (20-11) secured a 20-win season behind an extra-inning win over Wheaton in the two-game series closer last Saturday.
The freshman, senior tandem of Lindsey Lowe and Jacqueline DeFusco provide a one-two punch for the Lions. Lowe has notched 41 hits on a .387 average to bring in 18 runs and go along with 26 runs scored. DeFusco, meanwhile has tallied 39 hits on a team-high .406 average for 24 RBI and 23 runs scored.
Neely Eddleston has tossed 106.0 innings from the circle in her freshman season. The rookie has a 3.30 ERA in 17 starters with a staff-best 67 strikeouts.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Suffolk, Emerson series dates back through the Rams first season. Despite winning three of the last four meetings with the Lions, the Rams trail the all-time series 22-31.
EYES ON THE GAME
SHARKS SAYINGS
Simmons split its weekend, falling at Johnson & Wales and sweeping Saint Joseph (Conn.) to hold a 17-15 overall mark and 11-7 league ledger. The Sharks will face both Rivier and Anna Maria before entertaining Suffolk on Sunday.
Lauren Del Vacchio is the top hitter for the Sharks as the sophomore's 38 hits have come off a .422 average and brought in 15 RBI. Molly Hennessey, who is batting .372, has brought in a team-high 33 RBI off 35 hits and scored 24 runs.
Juliet Nelson looks to be Simmons ace in the circle. The senior pitcher has worked nearly 90 innings on the rubber and put together a 2.34 ERA with 46 strikeouts. Alex Soqui is the Sharks other consistent starter. The sophomore holds a 5.33 ERA and 20 Ks over 42.0 innings of work.
