BOSTON – With just one day of rest, the Suffolk softball team embarks on its second stretch of three double headers over three days. The Rams will visit Norwich Tuesday, before facing Simmons and Salem State in East Boston

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk softball team got fie runs on three homers in Game one Sunday, but fell in the the closer to the slugging of Albertus Magnus, as the Rams earned a GNAC doubleheader split at East Boston Memorial Park.

RUN DOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk has played in the least amount of games to its league counter parts, but has produced some of the best stats. The Rams' 13 sacrifice flies pave the way in the GNAC , while their on-base percentage (.398), slugging percentage (.470), earned run average (2.20), batting average against (.247) and home runs (9) all sit second. Suffolk produces the third most runs (136), hits (222), RBI (124), extra base hits (55), total bases(301) and batting average (.347). 

Jill Pulek's consistency at the plate has paved the way for Suffolk with the freshman leading the Rams in hits (30), runs (22), triples (2), home runs (4), RBI (22), batting average (.508), slugging percentage (.881) and on-base percentage (.597).  Devlin Frost, who is batting .382, sits second on the team in hits (29), runs (20) and runs brought in (15) with Delaney Sylvester also producing 29 hits to go along with 12 RBI. Morgan Parmeter, meanwhile, has a knack at hitting doubles with the eight of the sophomore's 18 hits good for two bases. 

Suffolk's four pitchers have combined for the second-best ERA in the league, 2.20. Taylor Holmes (7-1) boasts a team-best 1.64 ERA, which lands in fifth in amongst conference hurlers, with Ali Yamakaitis' (6-3) 2.04 mark good for second on the team and sixth in the league.

PULEK POWER
Jill Pulek ranks among the GNAC best in six major batting categories. The freshman leads the conference in on-base percentage (.597) and slugging percentage (.881), is second in batting average (.508), fourth in homers (4), sixth in RBI (22) and eight in runs (22).

ROOKIE RECOGNITION
Every week Suffolk has been in action this season a rookie has been recognized with back-to-back GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week accolades. Jill Pulek earned the distinction March 14, whileEvelyn Marquis garnered the honor March 21.

FROST'S FIRST PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR
Devlin Frost earned her first GNAC Corvias Player of the Week recognition of her career Monday as the sophomore produced seven hits and a .538 batting average in four games last weekend, helping the Rams turn in a 3-1 record.

CATCH UP ON THE CADETS
Norwich, which has been scheduled to play Suffolk twice now, but both days have been postponed due to rain, had an eventful GNAC weekend, sweeping Albertus Magnus (4-3(9)/7-5), and splitting with Johnson & Wales (L, 6-3 (8)/W, 8-4) to bring a 9-13 overall record and 9-3 conference mark into Tuesday's meeting. 

Senior Taylor Morris is the Cadets' force at the plate with a .389 batting average, 28 hits and 10 RBI. The freshman pitching tandem of Emily Oliver and Rachel Johnson own all of Norwich's wins, which are all against conference competition. Olivier is 4-5, with 63.1 innings of action and a 2.76 ERA. Johnson is 5-7 with a 4.20 ERA and 70 strikeouts. 

SOMETHING 'BOUT THE SHARKS
Simmons split its last two double features taking one win against Anna Maria and Rivier, respectively, to move its record to 11-12 overall and 5-7 in GNAC play. The Sharks will entertain the Rams on their home field, East Boston Memorial Park, Wednesday, April 20 at 3:30 p.m. 

Alexandra Moleksi is batting .407 with three extra-base hits, nine RBI and four runs scored. Mikaela Caracciolo is hitting .385 with three doubles and triples, respectively, 15 walks, 19 RBI and 21 runs. 

Michaela Reeves is 5-5 with four complete games and a 4.02 ERA, while Tori Gomes  is 5-4 with one save this spring thanks to a 2.26 ERA. 

VIEW ON THE VIKINGS
Salem, who are 10-14, split a Patriots day doubleheader at Westfield to get its action this week underway.

Jess Raymond hits .446 with 29 hits, 19 RBI and 11 runs. Desiree Moreno (.295), Dahila DeCologero (.281) and Chloe Manousos (.260) have all contributed 11 RBI.

Ileish Burney is 7-7 in the circle for the Vikings' with a team-best ERA of 3.29. Meghan Black, who is 3-4, boasts a 4.15 ERA with Rachael Cyr (7.24 ERA) and Francesca Perreault (8.17 ERA) rounding out Salem's pitching staff.

COMING UP
Suffolk remains at home this weekend for series against the University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) and Saint Joseph's College (Maine).  Both doubleheaders will begin at 12 p.m.
