Suffolk starter Carissa Roche (Swampscott, MA) then got freshman Jessica Massey (Randolph, MA) to chase strike three for the first out of the inning.

Olivia England picked up her third RBI of the day with a single in to center, chasing Roche from the game. England would advance to second on a passed ball putting the go ahead run in scoring position, but Johnson & Wales could not capitalize. Hirschfeld got freshman Holliann Barry (Newburgh, NY) to ground out to second baseman Monica Cioffi for the second out, before retiring junior Ashley Mata (Wheeling, IL) on a come backer to the mound for the game’s final out.
