BIDDEFORD, Maine – Hayden Green of the Suffolk men's cross country team raced into an all-league accolade over the weekend at the 2022 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships. 

Green, a freshman from Redondo Beach, California, clocked a personal-best 8k time of 26:45.8 to claim fifth in the 114-runner field en route to All-CCC status. In order to receive all-league recognition, a student-athlete must finish within the top 15 on the conference championship course. 

The Rams rookie helped Suffolk to a second-place showing in the team race for the second time in as many years competing in the CCC Championship. 

Green is the second Rams rookie to earn an all-league honor in the CCC era, following in Thomas Novy's footsteps, who was the first, a year ago. 

Green and Suffolk are off this week to prep for the 2022 NCAA Division III East Regionals, which are on tap for Saturday, Nov. 12 at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.
