Csiki-Fejer Tops 20 to Highlight Men’s Cross Country at NCAA New England Regionals

BOSTON – Matyas Csiki-Fejer's standout sophomore season continued at the NCAA New England Regionals Saturday afternoon as he anchored Suffolk men's cross country to a 25th-place performance at Bowdoin.  

The Rams took 25th in the field of 54, its best finish its four appearances and the highest GNAC team on the course in Vacation Land. 

In his second-ever regional race, Csiki-Fejer clocked a sub-26:00.0 8K, at 25:29.5 to be the 19th of 384 runners through the finisher's chute. His Top 20 performance gave the Manchester, Missouri native All-New England accolades for the second time in his career. Csiki-Fejer has the chance to keep his season going with an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championships, that field will be announced Sunday afternoon.  

Sophomores Hunter Toyoda (165th, 27:44.2) and Nic Malm (247th, 28:59.7) ran at their second regional race, while classmate Joseph Robinson (304th, 30:14.1) and freshman Cole Bolduc (192nd, 28:09.9), Elijah Dillon (200th, 28:16.4) and Justin Turner (219th, 28:35.2) all made their debuts at the race.
