Csiki-Fejer Wins Keene State Invitational, Men’s Cross Country Takes Ninth

KEENE, N.H. – Matyas Csiki-Fejer topped a near 200-runner field Saturday morning in upstate New Hampshire to capture the individual Keene State Invitational crown and help Suffolk men's cross country finish ninth overall.  

Csiki-Fejer's first-place finish anchored the blue-and-gold to a combined team score of 241, good for ninth out of 16 squads on Keene State's course. No. 2 Williams won the event with a total of 54 points.  

Csiki-Fejer was the first of the 193 runners to come through the finisher's chute after a 25:57.3 8k time. He was 7.10 faster than runner-up Mark Murdy of Brandeis. 

Elijah Dillon was in the top 50 with the freshman crossing the tape in 28:12.8. He was the highest placing first-year runner among not only the Rams, but their GNAC counterparts on the course, which include Colby Sawyer and Regis and Rivier. Hunter Toyoda's 28:19.4 was good for 54th with Cole Bolduc claiming 65th behind a time of 28:53.5  

Nic Malm rounded out the Rams' top five with a 29:12.0 for a 73rd-place finish. 

Keoni Geers (29:51.1) and Byron Deily (30:07.9) also ran Saturday morning. 

The Rams are back in action next week when they host the Suffolk Invite and the Battle for Boston Common Saturday, Oct. 19 at Franklin Park. a
