BOSTON – Suffolk men's cross country Matyas Csiki-Fejer took home his third league honor in as many weeks as the Rams' freshman was tabbed the GNAC Rookie of the Week thanks to his performance at the Purple Valley Classic Saturday, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

The award is Csiki-Fejer's third with the St. Louis, Missouri, native sweeping the conference's weekly honors a week ago.

At the invitational, a meet hosted annually by Williams, Csiki-Fejer navigated the muddy Mt. Greylock Regional High School 8k course in Williamstown, Massachusetts in 27:35.0, which was the seventh-best performance by a first-year runner in a field featuring seven of the nation's best teams. Overall, Csiki-Fejer finished 67th out of 208 runners.

Suffolk and Csiki-Fejer have the next two weeks before hosting the Suffolk Invite Friday, Oct. 12 at Franklin Park.
