    Suffolk men’s cross country and standout freshman Matyas Csiki-Fejer were acknowledged for its work on the course and inside the classroom as it earned the 2018 All-Academic Award status, presented by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

    Suffolk’s cross country teams and their conference counterparts head to Standish, Maine Sunday, Oct. 28 as the league titles are up for grabs at the 2018 GNAC Championships at the SJC Course. The women’s 5k heat is set for a 1 p.m. with the men’s 8k scheduled for 2 p.m.

    With just a few final days left to prep for the 2018 GNAC Championships, the conference released the GNAC Championship poll Thursday afternoon. The Rams men’s squad has been predicted second, while the women’s team has been chosen to finish third.

    For the third time in his career Matyas Csiki-Fejer of the Suffolk men’s cross country team has been named GNAC Rookie of the Week after putting together a runner-up showing at the Suffolk Invite Oct. 12, the league office unveiled Monday afternoon.

    In just his second collegiate competition, Matyas Csiki-Fejer directed the Suffolk men’s cross country team to a 17th-place finish at the 46th Annual UMass Dartmouth Invitational Saturday afternoon on the Robert Dowd Course.

  • Cross Country Hosts Suffolk Duels to Open 2018 Season

    For the first time in over a decade, the Suffolk cross country team will serve as host to an invitational and this time the Rams will do it as they pull the curtain back on their season opener. Earlier this week the blue-and-gold ventured out to The Berkshires for its own meet, the Suffolk Duels, Friday, August 31, which features Lasell at the Suffolk Duels Friday, Aug. 31. The women’s 5k begins at 11 a.m., with the men following in an 8k at 11:45 a.m.

    The Suffolk men’s cross country team lifted the lid on its 2018 campaign in winning fashion Friday afternoon as the Rams secured a pair of 5k victories at the Suffolk Duals hosted by the blue-and-gold at the Great Barrington Fairgrounds.
