BOSTON – The Suffolk men's cross country team put a check in the competition column for the first time in 2017 Saturday morning as the Rams competed at the Roger Williams Invitational.
Three Rams took the 5k course at Colt State park with Nick Nunez and Eddie Lui competing for the first time for the blue-and-gold. The former, a freshman from West Palm Beach, Florida, paced Suffolk's pack, crossing the finish line in 20:47. Lui, a Boston local working towards his master's degree, rounded out the Rams field with a 7:12 pace for a total 22:21
Ruben Torres finished in between the two, coming through the finisher's chute in 21:09.
Suffolk will be back in action Saturday, Sept. 16 when it competes at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
