Men’s Track & Field Garners USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honor

USTFCCCA Release

NEW ORLEANS – For the first time in program history, Suffolk men's track & field was acknowledged for its academics as the Rams' garnered All-Academic Team Honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the national organization announced Monday afternoon.

In order to be in contention for the recognition a team must have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA.

Will Feldman's Rams combined for a 3.39 cumulative GPA to be the lone GNAC representative on the national list.

Overall, 297 teams were honored by the USTFCCCA for their work inside the classroom. Breaking it down further, 184 of those were women's teams compared to 113 men's programs.

The academic accomplishments come after Suffolk saw a pair of freshmen – Matyas Csiki-Fejer and Michael Balestra – garner GNAC Rookie of the Year nods in track and field, respectively and three Rams grab four all-league accolades at the 2019 GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, all of which are first in program history.
