Men’s Tennis Edged by Endicott, 7-2

BELMONT, Mass. – Suffolk men's tennis' home regular-season finale was spoiled by Endicott, 7-2, as the Gulls won the Commonwealth Coast Conference match at Belmont Hill Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk trailed after doubles play and the Gulls quickly sealed up the victory with wins on the first and fourth singles courts, respectively.  

Endicott went on to traded singles wins with the Rams the rest of the way for the 7-2 final. 

The Rams points came thanks to Mehdi Mered and Matthew Gallego. Mered bested Julian Richtarich, 6-3, 6-3, in the second singles slot, while Gallego defeated James Zeolie, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 on court five.

  • Suffolk recorded two points against Endicott for the first time in the all-time series.

Suffolk concludes the regular-season this weekend with a non-conference match with Emerson Friday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. at North Reading High School, before traveling to Western New England Saturday, April 20 for a 12:00 p.m. CCC showdown.
