WOBURN, Mass. – The Suffolk men's tennis team found itself in the GNAC win column in its regular season conference finale as the Rams stormed past Norwich, 8-1, Saturday afternoon at the Woburn Racquet Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk swept doubles action in order to gain a 3-0 advantage. Rami Esrawi teamed up with Chris Parnagian for an 8-3 victory over Dylan Ackerman and Tim Birnbaum on court two before Mike DeFelice and Nick Vaillancourt downed Alexi Gilmore and Sam Beiter in the first slot, 8-6. Charles Tang and Hasan Esrawi defeated Abbie Barker and Noah Stillman, 8-6, to secure the doubles court sweep for the Rams.
As the match transferred to singles play, Parnagian and Ben Bricker put back-to-back singles victories to clinch the match for the Rams. Parnagian earned his second straight singles win as the rookie bested Birnbaum, 6-2, 6-0. Bricker's 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Birnbaum in the sixth position won the match for the blue-and-gold.
The Cadets earned their only point of the afternoon in the fourth spot and it was all Suffolk from there with Vaillancourt, Altimonte, and DeFelice all earning victories for the 8-1 margin.
NOTEWORTHY
- Suffolk won its third straight match against Norwich dating back to 2017.
- The Rams are now 11-3 against the Cadets, since 2009.
- Rami Esrawi and Parnagian teamed up and took home their team leading, third doubles victory.
- Vaillancourt earned his second straight singles victory, and fourth overall, in the second position.
- Altimonte continued his winning ways, notching his second consecutive singles win.
