NORTH READING, Mass. – The Suffolk men's tennis team returned to the win column Wednesday night as it defeat Wheelock, 6-3, at North Reading High School.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk gained a 2-1 edge after doubles play behind victories on courts two and three. Charles Tang and David Grujic put the blue-and-gold on the scoreboard first with the golden match over the Wildcats' Amos Jackson and Abbey Smith in the third slot. Kevin Greenman and Rami Esrwai made it 2-0 Rams thanks to an 8-2 decision over Jordan Bernard and Jack Krieger in the second spot. Wheelock won the clash on the first court to trim Suffolk's lead to one heading into singles action. 

Tang carried his winning ways in singles play as the junior defeated Sarah Tobin, 6-0, 6-1, in the fifth spot to regain a two-point cushion. The lead was shortlived as the Wildcats took court three to make it a one-point match once again. 

Esrawi swung momentum in the Rams' favor again with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Jackson at No.4, before Grujic downed Krieger, 6-3, 6-1, in the sixth slot to clinch the non-conference clash in Suffolk's favor. 

Chris Parnagian downed Arvin Hedayaty, 6-3, 6-2, for the final Rams' point of the evening and the Wildcats locked up the win on court one for the final 6-3 decision.
