Andy Tucker joined the Suffolk men’s soccer coaching staff in the summer of 2015 and remains on the bench for his fifth season as assistant coach of the Rams in 2019.

Tucker helped the blue-and-gold make their second straight GNAC postseason tournament appearance in his first season in 2015 as assistant despite a challenging regular season. The eighth-seeded Rams fell to the top seed, Johnson & Wales, in the quarterfinals to cap off the year 2-16-1 overall. Ben Daniels highlighted the squad's effort with a third team conference selection.  

In 2016, Tucker aided in one of the most successful men’s soccer seasons in program history, which included the most conference wins (6-3) since joining the GNAC in 1999. With an at-home advantage for the conference quarterfinals as the fourth seed, Jordan Casey secured Suffolk’s semis fate with a two-goal effort in a 2-0 win, but the Rams season fell short to the hands of eventual champion Saint Joseph’s (Maine) to cap the blue-and-gold’s season at 9-10 overall. Five different student-athletes garnered six all-conference honors from the league headlined by Jarrett Davis Rookie of the Year status. The freshman took home third-team honors along with Christian Restrepo, while Alberto Bittan represented the Rams on the first team and Casey and Ben Daniels were selected to the second squad.  

In his third campaign, Tucker helped Suffolk secure its spot in the GNAC postseason for the 10th straight season in his third year on the coaching staff as the Rams went 4-5-1 against conference counterparts and 9-7-1 overall. Suffolk’s season ended early, however, falling in the league quarterfinals, but a trio of Rams, Christian Restrepo (second team), Jordan Casey (third team) and James Fisher (third team) were recognized for their efforts on the pitch. The Rams were also recognized for their efforts in the classroom as they garnered a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award.  

Tucker was apart of a historic moment in Suffolk's men's soccer history as the Rams kicked-off their 2018 campaign with an international trip to London. Once back in the States, Suffolk struggled on the pitch, going 4-11-1 overall and missed the league's tournament after going 3-7-1 against conference competition. Individually honors rolled in for senior Jordan Casey, however, as he picked up third-team recognition for the second straight season. 

Tucker was a four-year member of the nationally ranked Wester New England men’s soccer team. Prior to his time with the Golden Bears, he was a well-known presence on the field, captaining his Club team for four years. A former player of head coach James Boden, Tucker is looking forward to sharing his knowledge of the game. 

Tucker holds his NSCAA Regional Diploma, US Youth Futsal Level 1 Coaching Certification and also coaches two club teams.

The Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts native, Tucker earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from WNE with a concertation in Sports Management in 2012.
